The Republic of Belarus is a state in the center of Europe with a population of more than 9 million 300 thousand people. It is located at the intersection of transport and information flows between the West and East, North and South of the Eurasian continent.

The Republic of Belarus ranked the 16th place among the 132 countries in terms of the indicator "Access to ICT" according to the "Global Innovation Index 2021"

The Republic of Belarus ranked the 16th place among the 132 countries in terms of the indicator "Access to ICT" according to the "Global Innovation Index 2021" published on September 20, 2021 by the World Intellectual Property Organization

Also, according to this "Global Innovation Index 2021" in terms of the indicator "Export of ICT services" (telecommunications, computer and information) in the total volume of foreign trade, the Republic of Belarus ranked the 11th place in the world.

Minister Took Part in the Partner2Connect Meeting

Today, on September 21, the Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus Konstantin Shulgan took part in the Partner2Connect Meeting, which was held as a side event of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly.

As a result of the Meeting, it was announced the launch of the Partner2Connect Digital Coalition, created to foster the implementation of projects in various countries of the world in order to develop telecommunications infrastructure and digital transformation.

The 27th Congress of the Universal Postal Union continues its work

The 27th Congress of the Universal Postal Union, in which delegates from member countries as well as observers from international and regional organizations participate, continue its work.

The Belarusian delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Communications and Informatization, Ms Natalya Gordeeenko, joined the UPU Congress by in-person representation.

Representatives of the Communications Administration of Belarus will take part in the online format of the 27th Congress of the Universal Postal Union, which will be held from 9 to 27 August 2021 in the Republic of Ivory Coast in Abidjan. Congress is the supreme body of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) and meets every four years. The plenipotentiaries of the 192 UPU member countries are meeting to determine the future of the postal sector.
