On May 15, 2025 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus held negotiations between Tatstsyana Ruskevich, Deputy Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus, and Yu Xingguo, First Vice-Mayor of Karamay, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, People's Republic of China.During the negotiations, the parties discussed promising areas of cooperation, including issues of digitalization of various spheres of activity, introduction of artificial intelligence, training of personnel for the IT sphere, etc.Tatstsyana Ruskevich emphasized that the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of Belarus places special importance on cooperation with the People's Republic of China, and informed Chinese colleagues about the program and sectoral documents on cooperation with China implemented by the Ministry.The Chinese side invited the executives of the Ministry to take part in the Fourth Meeting of Heads of Ministries and Departments of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Member States responsible for the development of information and communication technologies, as well as in the China-SCO Forum on Development and Cooperation in the Field of Digital Technologies, which will be held in mid-June this year in Karamay.An agreement was reached to continue the substantive dialog during the visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of Belarus to Karamay in June this year to participate in the SCO events.
