International forum “Eurasian Week” opened in Astana today

The second annual international forum "Eurasian Week" takes place in Astana (Republic of Kazakhstan) within the framework of the International Exhibition "EXPO-2017" from August 24 to August 26, 2017. The international forum "Eurasian Week" is attended by Dmitry Shedko, First Deputy Minister of Communications and Informatization.  
The Forum "Eurasian Week" is organized by the Eurasian Economic Commission and is the largest annual business event aimed at developing the economy, investment and export potential of the countries participating in the Eurasian Economic Union.
One of the key events of the forum "Eurasian Week" will be the conference "EAEU digital reset. A new look at the economy", which is held on August 24, 2017. Within the framework of the conference it is planned to discuss the main directions for further implementation of the digital agenda of the Eurasian Economic Union, world trends and forecasts for the development of the digital economy.
The initiative to create the Eurasian Week was approved by the decision of the five prime ministers of the EAEU countries in May 2015.
The first "Eurasian Week" forum was held in October 2016 on the site of the Moscow International Forum "Open Innovations".
Within the business program, 16 thematic events were held with the participation of more than 400 speakers from the EAEU and other countries (Vietnam, Singapore, Egypt, South Korea, as well as the EU countries). More than 2,000 people attended the forum.
