February 13 is World Radio Day proclaimed in 2011 by UNESCO member countries and approved in 2012 by the UN General Assembly.

According to various international reports, radio continues to be one of the most respected and widely used media in the world. Therefore, World Radio Day 2022 is dedicated to the theme "Radio and Trust".

On February 10, the Ministry of Communications hosted a working meeting between the Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus Konstantin Shulgan and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Belarus Juan Valdes Figueroa.

In February 2019, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Forum " Smart sustainable cities: technological trends, success stories and future prospects" was held in Minsk for the first time. The Forum was jointly organized by the International Telecommunication Union, the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN Habitat) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and OJSC "Giprosvjaz" with the support of the Ministry of Communication and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus.

At present the postal market of the Republic of Belarus is fast growing. License for public postal services for forwarding of postal items and subscription to printed media and its delivery is provided to 32 postal operators, including 25 of them to forwarding of postal items.

ITU Forum “Smart Sustainable Cities: social, economic and governance perspectives” will be held from 15 to 17 February in Minsk in The International Switching Center RUE Beltelecom located at: Minsk, str. Zaharova, 55.

This Forum is addressed to representatives of ministries, regulators, municipalities, telecom operators, universities and general education institutions, telecommunication equipment manufacturers, research and development institutes, software developers and other interested stakeholders.

From June 6 to June 10, 2022, the Ministry of Communications and Informatization with the participation of governmental officials, businesses, professional community and academia, international experts hosts the 28th International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies "TIBO-2022" in Minsk.

On January 24, 2022 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the stamp «30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam».

The project was prepared in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

On January 12, 2022 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the stamp «30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the People’s Republic of China».
